Michael Wischmeyer, AIA

Principal Architect

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Prior to pursuing a degree in architecture, Michael worked for ten years in commercial construction. He has performed all phases of construction, including estimating and scheduling, both as an on-site superintendent and project manager. He has been a licensed contractor in the state of Tennessee since 2003.

Michael began his career in architecture at The Crump Firm, Inc. of Memphis. He worked on a diversity of projects including corporate, healthcare, education, religious, and municipal. Among those were projects such as Fed-Ex Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis, Shelby County Jail Annex, Large Cavitation Channel at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division Detachment, and the Second Presbyterian Church sanctuary renovation.

As principal at The 2 Point Group, LLC, and 2 Point Contracting, Michael created architectural designs, managed several commercial, industrial, and residential construction crews and provided oversight for daily operation of the businesses.

Michael joined CGA in 2014 and became a principal in 2017 after the retirement of founding partner, Doug Corner. His construction background bolsters CGA’s construction administration services and is a valuable resource for our team.
