Children’s Haven, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to crisis care and has been a safety net for children of Joplin families in crisis. Children’s Haven provides a safe, secure, home-like environment for children. The 14,200 square foot facility provides bed and bathroom spaces for the children, a nursery, kitchen, dining, living room areas, a teen room and playrooms. A wellness bedroom is available to accommodate sick children and a visitation room is provided for families to spend time together. The facility also includes administrative offices and a conference room for the staff.
