Built in 1926, Pittsburg’s Lakeside Elementary was in need of some major upgrades. A new addition, that doubles as a safe room, now houses a bright and colorful cafeteria for its students complete with a modern commercial kitchen. The exterior materials blend in beautifully with historic character of the original school building.

The Lakeside addition was one of several projects completed for Pittsburg Schools: safe room / STEM classroom additions for Westside Elementary, Meadowlark Elementary, George Nettels Elementary; renovations and additions to the High School; gymnasium and safe room addition to the Middle School.
